Niels Lorijn is the co-founder and Managing Director of Capdesia Group, a private equity firm specialised in the consumer food service sector, with offices in London and Brussels. Capdesia provides creative capital and unparalleled industry expertise to expansion-stage quick service, fast casual and casual dining restaurant chains and related businesses, in support of acquisitions, development, international expansion, recapitalisations and other complex situations.
Since 2002, Niels has helped build four successful investment platforms in Europe, the US and the Middle East, with a focus on the consumer and technology industries, during which he led equity and debt investments in over 35 companies. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in investment banking, most recently as a Director of Global Telecoms, Media & Technology at Merrill Lynch & Co.
Niels is a member of the Board of Auditors of the Sovereign Order of Malta and has been actively involved in several of its humanitarian aid and healthcare projects across Latin America and Europe for over 20 years. He currently serves as the Order’s Ambassador to Poland.
He graduated from KULeuven (Belgium) with an MSc in Applied Economics.
