Simon Glynn

Simon Glynn, founder of Zero Ideas, combines both business leadership and NGO experience. He was a partner at Oliver Wyman for 25 years, most recently co-leading the global climate and sustainability consulting platform there.

Simon has 33 years consulting experience advising state and private enterprises and governments in nearly 50 different countries. Simon’s non-profit clients on climate issues have included CDP, the Carbon Trust, the Climate Group, Potential Energy Coalition, HM King Charles III, RePlanet, We Mean Business and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. His commercial clients on climate issues have included some of the world’s biggest energy and chemical companies, IKEA in retail, Nucor in steel, and banks across north America, Europe and Asia.

Simon’s writing and observations have appeared in the Financial Times, MIT Sloan Management Review, the Economist, and the BBC World Service.

Simon is a member of the Board of RePlanet, a new, science-led environmental international NGO built on the foundations of ecomodernism. He has an M.A. Degree in Natural Sciences (Physics and Theoretical Physics) from Trinity College, Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and a member of Chatham House.
