Sebastian DiGrande is the Chief Executive Officer of Plastic Credit Exchange, where he leads a passionate and dedicated team with the mission to end plastic waste entering the environment through a technology-enabled commercial plastic credit marketplace that activates a global ecosystem of partners to drive accelerated scale and impact. After a long career in corporate operating leadership and consulting, Sebastian decided to apply his skills and experience to a mission that he feels passionately about as a father of three boys and a lover of nature and the oceans.
Prior to joining PCX, Sebastian was the EVP of Strategy & Chief Customer Officer at Gap Inc, leading ~$5B+ of P&L’s across their e-commerce marketplace, credit card, international franchise businesses and Intermix brand. He built a data & analytics team, driving customer insights and personalization initiatives, and was responsible for crafting the corporate strategy for the company as a whole. Prior to Gap Inc., Sebastian was a Senior Partner & Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he held several leadership positions, including Americas Technology Practice Leader, Americas Marketing, Sales & Pricing, helped launch the BCG Digital Ventures business, and led many large-scale technology, consumer and retail client relationships. He also oversaw all recruiting for BCG on the West Coast for several years. Sebastian also serves as an independent director on the Board of BigLots, a $6B value retailer. He often contributes as a guest speaker at courses on digital, data-analytics and corporate transformation at Stanford Business School, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and his alma mater Wharton Business School.
Sebastian is the grateful son of two Italian immigrants, loves reading about Eastern Philosophy, and is an avid scuba diver, skier, runner and biker. He most enjoys spending his summers blowing bubbles in remote coral reefs and his winter weekends on the slopes, backcountry skiing and exploring the depths of the Tahoe Forest range with his wife, kids and dog.
