Cliff Prior is the CEO of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment, an ‘action’ tank with the mission to catalyse impact investment globally through its growing network of National Advisory Boards (NABs) across 33 countries.
Prior to joining the GSG, Cliff was CEO at Big Society Capital (BSC), the UK’s leading financial institution dedicated to social investment, where he helped set up the blended finance foundation Access and saw the worth of the UK’s social investment market climb to £3.5bn in 2019. Cliff has also served as CEO at UnLtd, the UK foundation for social entrepreneurs, and the UK-based mental health charity Rethink. During his time at UnLtd Cliff supported 13,000 new start-ups, and helped build the 50-country Global Social Entrepreneurship Network. In addition to his leadership roles, Cliff has participated as a government regulator and adviser across several social issue areas, and has co-founded several social enterprises. He previously chaired working groups for the GSG on mission led business, impact investing wholesalers, and impact integrity.
