The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) is an independent 'action' tank with the aim to strengthen and catalyze impact investment worldwide. Founded by Sir Ronald Cohen in 2015 to succeed the Social Impact Investment Taskforce formed under the UK’s presidency of the G8, it brings together leaders from finance, business, philanthropy, and governments.
The GSG has a global presence across 33 countries, exercising significant influence through its growing network of National Advisory Boards (NABs), which form a strong community of national platforms for private, public, and civil society stakeholders to work together towards creating an enabling environment for impact investing.
As a leading field builder, advocate, and convener for impact investment, the GSG develops and disseminates innovative ideas, approaches, and knowledge for impact investment, engages with key decision makers, and brings together the global impact community. It is led by CEO Cliff Prior and chaired by Sir Ronald Cohen.
