HempConnect acts as an aggregator of carbon dioxide removal projects specialized on Industrial Hemp as a nature-based solution. We offer services along the whole value-chain, ranging from project development to life-cycle-assessment and C-Sink management.

Purpose

We're on the mission to connect the Hemp Industry to the Carbon Removal sector to increase both the supply of high integrity CO2 Certificates and the cultivation of this ecologically beneficial crop as a plant-based protein source. We envision agriculture with circular usage of Hemp (biochar) as a key commodity to decarbonize the food supply-chain.

Summary

HempConnect will support agricultural transition by accelerating the supply of circular high-integrity carbon removal projects with hemp and biochar to a million tons of CO2 sequestered every year by 2030.

Activities & Initiatives

HempConnect builds and aggregates standardized biochar projects. We either build upon existing waste feedstock or assist in discovering hemp as an agricultural commodity. We tailor the projects according to the locations and choose artisan tech or high-tech depending on the regional circumstances. We focus on low-income areas to provide additional social benefits and empower communities. We will measure our progress by tracking the annual output of tons of CO2 under our management. Every income we earn is directly linked to CO2 sequestered.
