BELEAP® will integrate and realize our SDG commitments within three years of acquisition, determined by a baseline set in the post-acquisition integration strategy in 2021. This baseline will include individual metrics and targets spanning governance, planet, people, and prosperity. In more detail, this will include, but is not limited to:
BELEAP® will support a diverse group of 10 professionals in 2021, realizing their entrepreneurial ambitions and enhancing their resilience by leveraging the network of independent professionals that we are developing and capitalizing on newly formed partnerships and business ventures. For example, by:
BELEAP® will incentivize participation in certification programs for at least 30% of independent professionals in our network by 2023. We will incentivize qualified certificates by offering credits for a fee discount on service assignments to be performed. Trusted third-party online platforms will issue the certificates for education and learning.
BELEAP® is and will remain “the world’s first consultancy firm without an office,” not establishing a carbon footprint in the first place. By 2030, we commit to achieving a neutral carbon footprint for our procurement and technology activities, respectively, as well. As our first milestone, we will achieve a neutral carbon footprint for at least 25% of our suppliers’ contracts through our procurement strategy by the end of 2023 and at least 50% of our clients’ assignments by the end of 2025, utilizing our in-house developed technology for intelligent matching of client challenges to professionals by: promoting remote working; sourcing locally available professionals; and discounting for and offsetting travel carbon emissions by contributing to, for example, reforestation projects.
Women will comprise 30% of BELEAP’s® advisory and management board by 2023. BELEAP® believes in equal opportunities for everyone and recognizes diverse perspectives’ vital importance by contracting 60% of independent professionals across age groups, expertise, ethnicity, and gender by 2025.
BELEAP® will invest in technology development and roll out to facilitate the #1 impact community for at least 10% of independent professionals in the Netherlands by 2025. An impact community requires a contribution to its members and society’s well-being. Being #1 is taking ownership to create this significant impact on society. We have three goals against which we will measure and manage our impact: optimizing earnings capacity; empowering entrepreneurship; and offering resilience for whatever tomorrow brings.
