Elie is co-founder and CEO of InnerView Education. After studying Religion and graduating Emory in 2016, Elie started his career as a Teach For America (TFA) member in Chicago. Following TFA, Elie taught English in rural communities in India and Israel. A 2012 graduate of Sidwell Friends in D.C., he moved home in 2019 to be a founding teacher at Washington Leadership Academy (WLA), a public charter school in Northeast D.C. After completing UPenn’s Education Entrepreneurship program in 2021, Elie launched InnerView. InnerView teaches “self-reflection for self-direction” to support students navigating college and career. Not Just a College Essay Course is InnerView’s flagship program in which high schoolers across the globe work together in a writer’s workshop to write high-quality personal statements. Elie is on the board of ConnectDMV, a non-profit empowering students and families in the D.C. region by increasing educational access and equity.
