Registered under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 (formerly Companies Ordinance 1984) Institute of Rural Management (IRM) is the largest capacity development and learning facility in the not-for-profit in Pakistan. Over the last 30 years, IRM has been instrumental in developing the capacity of over one million professionals and community members. IRM has the distinction of developing the capacity of professionals from more than 20 countries. IRM has undertaken multi-sectoral projects and has the varied experience of working with UN agencies, INGOs, public sector organizations and other bilateral and multi-lateral agencies.
IRM is committed to empowering the rural communities and to harness their true human, social and economic potential for an improved quality of life. IRM has the distinction of being the training and capacity building arm of the Rural Support Programmes network. Similarly, its expertise and outreach is further enhanced by partnerships and alliances that have been forged with organizations and institutions (including local partners and government line departments) that support it in achieving its goals and objectives.
