WATTIFY is an open energy asset-tokenization platform for crowd-investments that will transform the way we handle impact investments today. It will allow anybody to invest in promising renewable energy projects of various lengths and development stages. It is easy to make and hold control of investments while being able to track the environmental impact. We tokenize renewable energy assets, facilitate the onboarding of investors in a manner conforming to all regulations and match investors on our platform with appropriate investment opportunities. Wattify strives to democratize real-world renewable energy assets and will be THE impact investments platform for tokenized renewable energy assets. We make investments in sustainable, renewable energy assets possible, and profitable for all budgets small and large, irrespective of whether the investors are new or experienced, in order to make a significant and above all else lasting contribution to saving and nurturing our environment and biodiversity.

Purpose

Renewable energy plants are – by virtue of their size and their specialised nature – too large to be held by private investors in their entirety, such that their ownership remains in the remit of large energy companies and institutional investors. Over and above this, the requirement for countries worldwide to become net-zero by 2050 at the latest means that the amount of renewable energy generated must double by 2030 and maintain this breathtaking expansion speed up to 2050.

WATTIFY – by liquifying renewable energy assets (that is to say making fractional ownership possible) – allows the everyday general public to access and own renewable energy assets from as little as an initial USD 1 investment, enabling them to identify, promote and enjoy an important contribution to reducing CO2 in the environment. Furthermore, the fact that the asset and yield tokens are often backed by guaranteed energy prices as well as being proffered by top tier energy companies means that the everyday consumer can be ensured that his investment is in safe hands with reliable yield and resale values (OTC trading). Essentially, consumers gain through credible and reliable impact investment and the environment gains through the ready availability of funds via the crowd invest platform which ensures that the energy companies can maintain and fund expansion momentum in building and operating their renewable energy plants.

Wattify creates an open energy asset-tokenization platform for crowd-investments which will transform the way we handle impact investments today. It will allow anybody to invest in promising renewable energy projects of various lengths and development stages. With the help of our platform, it will be easy to make and hold control of investments. We will tokenize both our own as well as third party energy assets, facilitate the onboarding of investors in a manner conforming to all financial regulations and match investors on our platform with appropriate investment opportunities. The automated exchange of investment and yield tokens via the blockchain-powered platform will allow a fair and transparent handling of investments of all sizes. During the token-holding period, the investor will have a full overview over the performance of the assets and will be able at any time to trade the investment token OTC without having to ask for prior permission or involving a third party. Furthermore, yield will be automatically credited daily, based on the daily production of the plant (or the agreed interest rate), ensuring fully transparent structures as well as a payback from day one. This approach will allow Wattify to facilitate the transaction of asset-tokens as well as offering a fixed interest rate or a success-based interest rate. Think about a world where individuals across the globe can make impact investments into energy assets starting at 1 USD, and by doing so not only contribute to CO² reduction, but are offered a fair and transparent return on investment, with lower handling fees and higher transparency and security than today.
