Beginning with a discovery process grounded in our client’s target outcomes, we collaboratively develop a vision, a coherent theory of change, and target audiences. Our team produces dynamic, values-driven messaging and creative collateral that bring our client’s vision to fruition across a range of media platforms. Provoc is a majority woman and person of color-led firm and certified B Corporation based in Washington, D.C., with team members across two continents. We meet comprehensive and transparent social and environmental standards in an effort to use the power of business as a force for good. Summary

Provoc promotes and maintains ethical and equitable hiring practices that focus on recruiting, hiring, retaining, and cultivating a workforce that comprises at least 70% Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) employees.

Activities & Initiatives

At Provoc, we are highly selective in choosing the projects and partnerships we pursue to ensure that we consider the impact of those initiatives on furthering the betterment of our world. When we recruit employees, we de-emphasize the candidate's professional experience and formal education in favor of elevating their lived experience in relation to the issues of equity, inclusion, racial justice, climate justice, gender equality, and civic engagement. We also implement a multi-step screening and panel interview process where we provide all question in advance so that the value of a candidate is determined not by "quick wit" but by how thoughtful their answers are in relation to their lives.

Measures & Targets

Provoc will measure progress by tracking the percentage of BIPOC individuals in our workforce with a maintenance of 70% representation by March 2024.
