MannBenham Advocates is committed to ensuring that all clients and employees are treated with dignity and respect and treat others in the same way, not just for 2021 but beyond.
We believe that all employees have the right to work in an environment that is free from any form of harassment and/or bullying, whether in the workplace or outside the workplace in a work-related context, such as on business trips, customer or supplier events, or work-related social events. We ensure all our employees are aware of our Harassment and Bullying Policy to ensure that they understand what types of behavior are unacceptable, and to understand the procedure to be followed if they need to informally or formally report an incident.
As a company that cares about everyone, not just those who work within the office environment, but external stakeholders as well, we wish to ensure that everyone:
- Acknowledges each person’s basic dignity
- Has empathy for every person’s life situation
- Listens to and encourage each other’s opinions and input
- Is aware, appreciates and acknowledges other people’s contributions
- Avoids gossip, teasing, and other unprofessional behavior
- Encourages everyone to emulate the actions of someone they consider respectful
- Ensures everyone is aware, understands, and is able to follow our policies and procedures
We have successfully fostered a culture of mutual respect in our workplace, which is evident by the longevity of staff and the spirit of friendship and the feeling of community we all share. We encourage everyone to be open, and welcome discussion, ideas, and vision. As part of our ethos and our culture, we will work with all our stakeholders, both internally and externally to ensure that they are aware of our working procedures and are comfortable in knowing that they can talk to any members of staff about their issues in order to create an open door policy, provide worth in contributions to the company, and avoid unprofessional behavior, by having monthly group meetings with different people leading the meetings. We are aware that not everyone will welcome change, and these things take time to evolve, so we will work with everyone, provide encouragement and reassurance when and where needed, to ensure that everyone understands our open door policy and that openness in the workplace becomes the 'norm' by 2023, and will be reviewed as part of our ongoing company diligence and governance every six months.
