Green Bio Energy (GBE), is a Ugandan-based socially-oriented business whose primary focus is the promotion of green energy through innovative and self-sustaining solutions aimed at continuously improving the local population’s quality of life. Among other things, our work seeks to promote women’s equality in Uganda. We aim to improve their lives by giving them better working solutions and offering them equal social and economic growth opportunities.

Summary

Green Bio Energy Ltd will foster growth for its sustainable and inclusive manufacturing sales model by producing and distributing 3000 tons of eco-friendly fuel (briquettes) to be consumed by households and businesses by 2028.

Activities & Initiatives

Green Bio Energy Ltd. will optimize our briquettes production facility through solar and biomass usage to increase production. We will establish a green energy retail network including sales warehousing to increase sales. We aim for this project to offset 43,800 tons of CO2 and preservation of 75,000 tons of green trees.

Measures & Targets

Green Bio Energy Ltd. will track the number of eco-friendly fuel (briquettes) produced and distributed by 2028. We aim to reach a minimum threshold of eco-friendly briquettes produced and sold per month.

Summary

Green Bio Energy Ltd will provide 1,000 female and youth community jobs by 2028. These roles will exist throughout our manufacturing and sales value chain.

Activities & Initiatives

Green Bio Energy Ltd. will exclusively offer jobs to local community members with less disposable incomes. The goal is for 100% of our workforce to be females and/or youth across our sales and distribution value chain. We will establish a two-year apprenticeship program for energy vocational skills training and identify potential recruits through that program.

Measures & Targets

Green Bio Energy Ltd. will track employment rates to reach our goals by 2028. Mid-term, our goal is to achieve 50% employment rate of 1,000 jobs by 2026 and the other 50% jobs by 2028.
