Climate Finance Action works state by state to build power among local community groups, workers and their unions, large companies, and state governments to pressure asset managers to adopt specific, effective policies to align with limiting global warming to under 2ºC.
We organize stakeholder groups in key cities, states and workplaces and provide training, research, coordination, and strategic support. We have three main pillars of work.
- We educate stakeholders on the power of capital to mitigate the climate crisis and the considerable opportunities in a green energy future.
- We engage public officials to use their shareholder power to address climate risk.
- We support private-sector employees who want to ensure that their retirement plans include pro-climate options.
We use a winning combination of deep union expertise, financial experience and coalition building to provide education and strategy to ensure financial decision makers use the tools they have to address the economic risk of the climate crisis.
Climate Finance Action is a women-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
