Dr Yildiz Kara is the founder and managing director at the London-based Society 5.0 Institute, promoting the Japanese vision of Society 5.0 to contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company provides consultancy services for businesses on inclusive digital transformation and creating shared value through sustainable business management.
Dr Kara is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) International Trade Group leadership team and acts as a Visiting Lecturer at Regent’s University London, where she teaches sustainability and international political economy.
She is a published author with a book and several articles. Her Society 5.0-related endeavours have been recognised with multiple awards, including the Women Economic Forum 2020 Award for “Iconic Women Creating a Better World for All”, Finalist in Education UK Alumni Awards 2020, and byPROTOKOL Media “Social Entrepreneurship Award” in 2020.
Dr. Kara studied international political economy at the London School of Economics as a British Council Chevening Scholar.
