Deepali Srivastava

Director of Communications and Thought Leadership

Deepali Srivastava is the Director of Communications and Thought Leadership for the Council for Inclusive Capitalism where she works with business leaders to develop solutions-oriented insights to some of the most significant societal challenges. She has extensive experience turning complex topics into compelling evidence-based narratives—from ideation to publication—on climate, energy, workforce, and social impact topics.

Most recently, she successfully launched and led the digital publication Energy Explained at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy, partnering with research scholars, to publish timely articles across a range of energy and climate issues.  Previously, for over a decade, Deepali has worked in inhouse roles and as a consultant to private sector and nonprofit think tanks, including: PwC ESG and sustainability services, The Conference Board, Engie Impact, and Visa Economic Empowerment Institute. Her experience encompasses qualitative research, policy analysis, content development, and executive communications.

Deepali’s essays, columns and book reviews on sustainability and social justice have appeared in media outlets such as Next City, strategy+business, Scroll (India), Forbes Asia, and MSNBC. She has also spearheaded content published in Harvard Business Review and CNBC.com, among other publications. While at Columbia University she produced and moderated an expert webinar series on environmental justice, co-sponsored by several Columbia University schools and centers.

Deepali earned MA in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University in New York, and BA in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, India.
