X-ELIO will promote prosperity in the Communities its works in by establishing a Community Plan Procedure by 2021.
Promote prosperity by investing in the Communities.
The contracted Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company will do its best to recruit local labor, with minimum recruitment quotas imposed in the contract. To ensure local labor and companies are given a fair chance and opportunity, X-ELIO asks the companies to send a bi-monthly report indicating local procurement activities' status. Also, X-ELIO will ask for the justification of the final contracted percentage as evidence of the intention to meet quotas. All projects that pass the Approval Compliance Committee will have to undertake a Stakeholder Analysis and Community Plan Proposal as part of the Community Plan. By the end of 2021, all current projects must have presented their complete Community Plan, and all future projects will have to undertake their own. The Community Plans will take action in the countries where X-ELIO currently has or will have activity. Today, the geographical scope includes Australia, Chile, Italy, Japan, México, Spain, and the United States of America. By the end of the first half of 2021, X-ELIO will also have a list of Social Community Proposal activities by country approved and go accordingly with Local Communities, Education, Environment, and Health values. According to the project's needs and the community, the activities will then be studied on a case-by-case basis. A percentage of each project's total yearly revenues will finance the Community Plan Proposals.
