VegTech™ Invest™ advises the VegTech™ Plant-based Innovation & Climate ETF, (EATV.) EATV invests in companies actively innovating with plants and plant-derived ingredients to create animal-free products for sustainable consumption, thus addressing Climate Change and Food Insecurity. The ETF provides exposure to this growing trend. The firm also provides, along with Morningstar, the VegTech™ Plant-based Innovation & Alternative Proteins non-tracking Index, a global benchmark that defines and leads this disruptive asset class created by VegTech™ Invest. With these products, VegTech™ Invest has created and is leading a completely new impact asset class of Plant-based Innovation & Alternative Proteins.

Purpose

VegTech Invest exists to allow those interested in impact investing and investing with their values to positively impact climate change, food security, animal welfare, biodiversity, deforestation and human health by investing through the financial instruments it provides. In addition, we believe the shift of the global food supply system towards Plant-based Foods supported by Plant-based Innovation is at the beginning of a global megatrend.

Summary

VegTech™ Invest is committed to animal welfare by reducing animal suffering through its invest strategies and product in the public markets which does not invest in meat and dairy companies. It will establish a plan to measure the impact by 2023.

Activities & Initiatives

VegTech™ Invest will begin measuring our impact at reducing animal suffering and any contribution to animal suffering in factory farms through our impact investment strategies and product in the public markets. We are committed to 1) Preserving Life on Land (UN SDG 15), 2) Preserving Life Under Water (UN SDG 14) and 3) not investing in companies that produce meat or dairy products, except for nominal amounts.

Measures & Targets

VegTech™ Invest will measure success by establishing an animal welfare baseline as compared to the meat industry by 2023. It currently publishes its strategy to not invest in meat and dairy companies through its investment strategies and product in the public market to accomplish its goals to 1) Preserve Life on Land, 2) Preserve Life Under Water and 3) reduce animal suffering in factory farms.

VegTech™ Invest is committed, through its product in the public markets to investing in public companies providing animal-free replacements in order to help shift the global food supply system to be sustainable for people, the planet and animals. It currently executes this strategy and will establish a plan to measure the impact by 2023.

VegTech™ Invest is committed to addressing climate change through its impact investment strategy and product in the public markets. We believe the fund currently does this, and are establishing tracking measurements to quantify this by 12/1/2023.

Activities & Initiatives

To better understand our carbon footprint, VegTech™ Invest is seeking measurement tools for measuring scopes 1, 2, 3 of its public market product to determine its current climate change footprint and to ensure its significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions as compared to both the S&P 500 and the meat industry.

VegTech™ Invest will measure success by establishing an emissions baseline of its public market product and publishing a strategy with specific targets for reducing our carbon footprint.

VegTech™ Invest is currently committed to not investing in deforestation companies through its product in the public markets. It will continue to measure to ensure this standard moving forward in order to preserve Biodiversity and US SDG 15, Life on Land.
