Ukrainian Institute of Public Diplomacy

Institute of Public Diplomacy was established in 2015. It operates international projects in such areas of public life as civic society development, people-to-people diplomacy, social innovations, communications, human rights protection and development of Ukrainian youth.

The Institute of Public Diplomacy has been engaged in strategic communications since its foundation. In particular, its activities were aimed at bolstering the country's image on the international arena. The Institute had managed the high-profile proprietary visual artistic project "Ukraine: Tiding Over" https://www.facebook.com/UkraineTidingOver/ - with the support of diplomatic missions of Ukraine, the project was presented in 18 countries in 2017-19, including the Kingdom of Belgium, Canada, the State of Israel, and the USA. Project partner - Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine; The Institute has created and runs a media platform that includes the former information asset of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the magazine "Foreign Affairs", as well as the TV channel "Durys i Ukraine", which, in partnership with the European TV channel LNK-Info, provides an unbiased view on  challenges in international information space and on multidimensional regional and international security challenges. The charity project «Children in War» that had began in May 2016 and is continuing during the gruesome days of the Russian-Ukrainian war is dedicated to children in the Ukraine who know about the war from own experience. The project activities include the reconstruction of ruined schools as well as the support of children with special needs residing in the frontline territories.

Purpose

The Institute aims to draw the attention of civic societies, global political and business leaders,  to protecting the rights of children and youth residing in the line of fire in the South-Eastern Ukraine. The Institute tries to assist the long-term resolution of the military conflict in the South-East of Ukraine by creating harmonious multicultural and prosperous communities there.

The Institute is keen on supporting social innovations, it had been active in scouting hi-tech projects that might add value to the prosperous and harmonious urban and rural communities in Ukraine and its neighboring countries.
