Center for Peace and Development, Balochistan (CPD) is an independent registered non-government and non-profit civil society organization in Baluchistan, Pakistan. CPD was established in 2002 by a group of human development professionals of Balochistan who worked with several leading national and international humanitarian organizations to fill the space of ongoing human development situation in Balochistan with an expert organization that promotes peace, human rights, good governance, and sustainable development in the province. CPD was registered in January 2003 with the directorate of Social Welfare Balochistan and later the organization was registered under the societies act in 2011. Currently, as per the requirement in Balochistan CPD is registered under the Balochistan Charity Registration and Regulation Authority. CPD started its work by initiating peace and human rights education with different youth groups in Quetta city and has now become the largest rights-based organization of the province working in 17 districts of Balochistan. CPD has operational and management systems supported by policies and procedures including HR policy, gender policy, and procedures, code of conduct, finance policy and procedures, hiring and termination policy, leave policy, procurement policy, etc. CPD is operating to achieve its goal, vision, and mission by utilizing its human, financial, and capital resources.
