Root Impact is a non-profit organization founded in 2012, supporting changemakers who are creating innovative solutions to tackle any social and environmental problems. It has been trying to build an impact ecosystem for more changemakers and social entrepreneurs to further their mission, solve pressing issues, and sustain their growth.
Root Impact operates businesses within three different spheres: Impact Cluster, Impact Campus, and Impact Fund. First, Impact Cluster is building a supportive community for impact-driven organizations based on the co-working space Heyground. It provides affordable workspace, a capacity-building program and service, and networking opportunities. Second, Impact Campus offers a career development program and career matching platform for changemakers. Third, Root Impact's Impact Fund catalyzes and connects impact-first capital so changemakers can better solve social and environmental problems.
By transforming an industrial area into a social innovation district, with more than 400 impact-driven enterprises clustered and called "Social Venture Valley," Root Impact has become one of the leading players shaping South Korea's impact scene.
