Religion News Foundation
Religion News Foundation is an educational, charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing religious literacy through journalism, storytelling, and strategic partnerships. We offer resources and training to help the public, nonprofits, governments, academics, and journalists think about and report on religion and beliefs with balance, accuracy, and insight. Our resources include podcastsprint publications, case studies, style guides, trainings and more.
Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Religion News Service, RNF models best-in-class journalism about global religion. Founded in 1934 by journalist Louis Minsky, RNS has for more than 80 years informed readers with objective reporting and insightful commentary reported and written by professional journalists. It strives to be the most trusted resource about religion and spirituality, where people come together to understand each other's beliefs.

Purpose

We strive to improve understanding of religion, strengthen public discourse about religion, advance religious literacy, and support religion journalism. In this, the Foundation works to provide comprehensive coverage of religion, religious freedom, and religious persecution across the globe.

RNF seeks to achieve its religious literacy goals through storytelling, films, videos, podcasts, training workshops, student and cultural exchanges, events, programs and initiatives.
