Pacemakers believe that in order to evolve financial services, firms need to collaborate with smaller, more agile and more focussed firms. Big firms realise this but they use very inefficient ways of identifying the ideal partner. We constantly hear of collaboration between established players and innovative challengers. But we also hear that many of these do not deliver expected outcomes. The reason for these failed collaborations is rarely on one side.
Most failed collaborations fail for reasons that are not technological. A successful collaboration needs to of course ensure capability but it also needs to ensure compatibility.
We launched Pacemakers because we felt there was a need for a better approach in selecting a partner. We adopted some of the processes of executive search to help our clients find the right partner as a strategic supplier, joint venture or even acquisition.
We will strive to ensure that all our project include provisions for diversity and inclusion by ensuring that ESG targets are considered in over 85% of our clients projects by the first half of 2023.
