O’Neil Cinemas’ mission is to create unforgettable shared experiences utilizing the magic of Hollywood, live and filmed entertainment of all types, special limited engagement events, quality food & beverage offerings and extraordinary customer service standards. O’Neil Cinemas will measure progress by tracking percent reduction in plastic waste with a goal of reaching 50% over a five year period. Currently, our company offers receptacles throughout our facility for patrons to place used bottes and other recyclable items. The company currently recycles; plastic water bottles, soda bottles, cardboard boxes, plastic jugs, glass beer bottles and fryer oil.
Over the next year, we intend to create an action plan that highlights both customer contribution as well as company responsibility for disposal of used items in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner with incremental timeframes outlined.
Presently, building renovations and initial building projects have not included environmentally sustainable products or practices. Going forward, the company will look at methods to decrease construction waste by understanding how we can make use of equipment, materials and manpower that decreases our carbon imprint.
Currently, O’Neil Cinemas is an active partner within the communities that are home to our theatres. We currently contribute to fundraising efforts with local groups including school districts, we provide space at no or minimal cost to non profit groups hosting blood drives and food drives for the local food pantries. Our goal is to increase community involvement to a higher level to have a broader outreach and the greater community benefits from our efforts.
O’Neil Cinemas intends to dedicate a portion of our marketing coordinator’s time towards development of our “Community Outreach” plan, outlining timeframes, schedules etc for donations to shelters and food banks. That position will work with area advocates to determine needs, trends and available options to provide food for those in need. Operations management including restaurant management will identify, contact and work with local farms and other sources including breweries and vineyards to bring locally sourced food into our menu.
O’Neil Cinemas will measure progress by tracking the percent of employees from underserved communities with a goal of reaching 50%. Currently, we employ a large number of young adults who would be identified as having mild to moderate disabilities, including Autism. We have a varied group of employees across many socio-economic categories, however our company intends to increase diversity in hiring by 50% by 2027.
