Purpose

Makati Business Club was organized by leading Philippine business executives in 1981 to more pro-actively engage the government at a time of economic and political upheaval. Since then, it has helped led the business sector and civil society in promoting a jobs-creating economy as well as the democratic society that we believe go hand-in-hand with it. Aside from general economic policy, we have initiatives in Digital, Global Ideas (competitiveness and innovation), Mobility, Gender Inclusivity (Women-in-the-C-Suite) and COVID Response.
