Hispanic Wealth will promote financial inclusion among minorities by providing culturally-adequate financial literacy courses to 10,000 adults by 2023.
Hispanic Wealth is developing financial literacy programs for adults that are adapted to the culture of the minority groups we serve.
The curriculum of each program is aimed to cover financial concepts and the multiple financial decisions a person faces during a lifetime. Each one of those concepts or decisions are covered in one or more lectures, and each lecture is developed with a mix of videos, short readings, games, tasks, tests, and feedback questionnaires. Throughout the course we provide motivation to both learn and use the knowledge in practice.
Our courses are mostly delivered in partnership with employers, non-profits, or faith-based organizations of all denominations. We encourage users in the adoption of formal financial services to drive financial inclusion. We believe that a financial education is a first step against an economy of exclusion. Our goal is to have individuals educated enough to be accountable for, and in control of their own finances.
Hispanic Wealth will measure progress by tracking the number of individuals that have access to a course, the utilization, and the degree of advancement for each individual. Our goal is to provide access to financial education to 10,000 adults by the end of 2023.
We will also measure progress by tracking the number of employers, non-profits, and faith-based institutions, with the goal of collaborating with at least 30 institutions by the end of 2023.
