We specialize in addressing critical global challenges by catalysing change in key systems. For over 25 years, we’ve been working in partnership with business, governments, and civil society to accelerate transformation toward a just and regenerative future.

Purpose

Forum for the Future in the UK is a registered educational and sustainable development charity, and a company limited by guarantee and not having share capital. Its aims to:

  • Advance the education of the public in economic and social studies as they relate to individuals, communities, society at large and the planet, with special reference to their interrelationship with ecology, the natural world, health, technology, agriculture, sustainable development, philosophy, and psychology.
  • Promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by the:
    • preservation, conservation and protection of the environment and the prudent use of natural resources.
    • relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
    • promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration.

Scaling Regenerative Agriculture in the UK

This report calls for action to revolutionize the UK's food and farming system by promoting regenerative agricultural practices, and offers actionable insights to transform the way we produce and consume food. The report highlights regenerative agriculture and agroecology as viable pathways to achieve regenerative goals, and acknowledges existing best practices at the farm level, but emphasizes the need for scaling up and mainstreaming regenerative practices through supportive policies, incentives, and knowledge sharing to support holistic, regenerative outcomes.
