EPE a think tank and do tank on system leadership for transformational change in support to the SDGs. In 2016,2017,2018 EPE facilitated Conferences Value Based Investors and the SDGs in Rome and Buenos Aires. H.E. Cardinal Turkson was  the keynote speaker. Since EPE been has facilitated the drafting this year of “Blockchain Eco-System, European Public Funds and Citizens-Centric Finance” report (www.the-epe.org) inspired by a UN task force report and the UN Secretary General vision of citizens-centric finance At the Vatican conference on ‘Common Good in the Digital Age’2019, EPE proposed a pilot initiative ‘Common good and Food Systems in the digital age’. The World Economic Forum Building Block(chain)s for a Better Planet  report 2018 presents blockchain as a game changer in 8 areas. Since several reports are addressing blockchain and the SDGs. EPE offers to explore with Companies, members of the movement, proposals contributing to ‘inclusive capitalism’ and system leadership for transformational change in a digital age,  in particular blockchain value chain and finance initiatives (Internet 3.0), which use Collaboration and Decentralization to create new Incentives that can rebuild Trust (CDIT) will help Companies in several ways  to move towards 'inclusive capitalism' :
  • Financial institutions are faced with the need to find new levers and new modes of governance to effectively implement their commitments and their climate / biodiversity / just transition plans within the framework of  provisions on 'taxonomy' for facilitate sustainable investments.
  • Companies are faced with the need to find new levers and new modes of governance to effectively implement their commitments and their climate / biodiversity / just transition plan within the framework of  “due diligence” provisions.
  • Financial institutions (banks and insurance companies) and large corporations face non-financial reporting rules.
  • the UN will host a Multistakeholder 'Summit of the Future' in 2023 where Companies  members of the 'Inclusive Capitalism' should be able to demonstrate leadership.
 

Purpose

The EPE purpose is to advance multi-stakeholder partnerships and, thanks to its initiatives in developing eco-systems of partners, to play its role in accelerating the transformational change needed in areas such as:

  • helping to change and influence governance models,
  • making value chains and territorial management more efficient,
  • adapting business and financial models by combining ‘system leadership’, a new integrated approach and new tools in the era of blockchain.
  • using blockchain as an empowerment game changer
