Defined Impact is committed to supporting and empowering at least 5,000 vulnerable smallholder farmers buying, planting, consuming, and selling nutritious crops, 50% of which will be women by 2023.

Activities & Initiatives

Promote income generation, access to finance, and reduction in malnutrition.

Measures & Targets

Increase the percentage of women beneficiaries to 50% in 2023 by accelerating and scaling-up nutritious crops/foods and helping to reduce hidden hunger (micronutrient deficiency) by catalyzing sustainable investment for smallholder farmers.

Summary

Defined Impact will launch a national partnership platform in 2023 to promote climate-smart agriculture to guide actions to transform agri-food systems towards green and climate-resilient practices.

Activities & Initiatives

Tackle three main objectives:

sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes;
adapting and building resilience to climate change; and
reducing and/or removing greenhouse gas emissions, where possible.

Measures & Targets

Launch a national partnership platform in 2023 to act as a knowledge center of climate change resilience and adaptation. This platform will promote the scale-up of net-zero, resilient national policies and standards based on proven practices through high-level social awareness of climate change risks.
