| Responsible Business Project 2030

| Founder

Jim spent most of his working career running the renowned corporate hospitality agency, Cavendish Hospitality and Events, from 1981 until his retirement in 2016. Cavendish won numerous official hospitality contracts including two Rugby World Cups, 1999 (Wales) and 2003 (Australia), the 2007 Cricket World Cup and the 2010 World T20 cricket both in the Caribbean. On Jim’s retirement,  Cavendish was bought by AOK Events in 2016.

In 2018, Jim co-founded Ethical Reading with Gurprit Singh with the objective of helping organisations in Reading do the right thing by each other, the wider community and the environment. Ethical Reading is looking to maximise the positive change it is creating in Reading by helping to establish ethical hubs in different towns and cities throughout the UK and beyond, kick-starting an Ethical Cities Movement.

Since 2020, Jim has been working on the Responsible Business Project 2030 which has a mission to make responsible business commonplace by 2030 and taught in schools throughout the world.

Jim lives with his wife, Virginia in the Reading area and they enjoy spending time with their four children and five grand-children. Jim plays golf and after a promising debut at the age 14, his play has got progressively worse ever since.
