Rwaro Mburu (James) was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He attended secondary school in Njiiri School in Murang’a County and later joined in Kagumo High School in Nyeri County, Kenya. He was admitted in the University of Nairobi,  Chiromo Campus to pursue a degree in Bachelor of Science.

He started his work as a volunteer in Nyumba ya Wazee (House of the Elderly) and later joined a directory company in Nairobi where his efforts and growth saw him moving to another company to head the IT department.

He later combined his work experience and his dedication to innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable development to come up with a platform for small scale traders in Kenya to enable them leverage e-commerce and encourage collaboration of stakeholders in the trade to improve business environment of the small traders commonly known as micro enterprises.
