Dr. Jagannadha Pawan is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton specialising in interdisciplinary entrepreneurship and strategy research. He co-founded iPowerz, the digital ecosystem to nurture entrepreneurship and innovation of the 99% to foster inclusive prosperity.
He has a PhD in Economics from the University of Goettingen, Germany. He was awarded the Otto Hahn Medal of the Max Planck Society and the Inaugural Best Dissertation Award of the Danish Research Unit for Industrial Dynamics (DRUID) for his thesis on entrepreneurship in developing countries.
Born in India, he studied at the Assembly of God Church School Calcutta, the Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, and the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, wherein he imbibed principles that seek to advance the well-being of all humanity. Inspired by these values, he envisioned iPowerz to proactively leverage technology to support grassroots entrepreneurship and innovation across the world.
JP is a trustee of three registered charities in England. He is married with three children and lives near Southampton, UK.
