Jacqui Joseph is an active advocate for addressing gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region. Her work extends into building prevention approaches to improving service delivery by addressing violence against women and emerging gender inequality challenges. From small to large projects Jacqui has managed significantly funded projects over the last decade working with over a 100 urban to remote rural populations in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands while in close coordination with other Pacific Island countries (Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, etc).Jacqui has over 10 years’ experience in implementing projects in gender, youth and peace work and improving community development efforts. Ms Joseph has a recent appointment as the Founding Curator for the Global Shapers Port Moresby hub, a youth initiative of the World Economic Forum. In 2017 she was recognised by the Commonwealth Youth Secretariat for her contribution to the Pacific region. In 2016 the International Youth Foundation listed her as one of the top 20 Laureate Global Fellows program.
