Mr. Federico R. Lopez is Chairman and CEO of First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH), a diversified holding company with principal interests in power generation, energy solutions, real estate, construction, and manufacturing. He is also the Chairman and CEO of First Gen Corporation and Energy Development Corporation, premier power generation companies at the forefront of clean and renewable energy development. Likewise, he chairs the boards of various FPH subsidiaries. He was also elected as Chairman and CEO of Lopez Holdings Corporation in October 2020.
An advocate of the environment, Mr. Lopez is the Chairman of the Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation (OML Center) and the Sikat Solar Challenge Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Wildlife Fund Philippines and the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation.

Another advocacy of Mr. Lopez is music and the arts. He is the President of Ang Misyon, Inc., an El Sistema-inspired foundation which formed the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth (OFY). OFY is composed of young musicians, mostly from less-privileged backgrounds, who are provided free music lessons and orchestral training. He is also a member of the New York Philharmonic International Advisory Board.

His business affiliations include the Asia Business Council, World Presidents Organization, Chief Executives Organization, ASEAN Business Club, Makati Business Club, Management Association of the Philippines, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
Mr. Lopez graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Double Major in Economics and International Relations (cum laude), in 1983.
