Benny Igwebe is a graduate of the London School of Economics. After graduating he worked at the African Union (OAU) as a Trade Economist. Among his accomplishments, he was conducting pioneer research and studies on the role of the informal sector in African economies. The study itself was recorded in a documentary film (unrecorded border trade in ECOWAS Youtube). He also developed policies to promote Intra-African Trade, which led to the treaty that established the African Economic Community, the foundation stone of the African Continental Free Trade Area. He also produced a documentary film on Agenda 2063 the blue print for Africa’s future (African Renaissance Youtube 8080).
Benny has since changed careers from being an Economist/Diplomat to being an actor/fashion designer, which was a childhood dream. He now has a fashion design line at Emyb Fashion and works as an actor in New York city and was recently featured in Wutang Clan, an American Saga, among others.
