JLens
Founded in 2012, JLens is an investor network that explores a Jewish lens on impact investing and serves as the bridge between the Jewish community and the Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arenas. Impact investing is a newer term for an old concept: values, ethics, and mission extend to investment decisions. However, in recent years the field has evolved into a global values-based movement, creating an exciting new forum for the application of Jewish wisdom. JLens oversees the Jewish values-overlay and advocacy efforts for the Jewish Advocacy Strategy, a portfolio of the approximately 300 most influential companies in the US, and the only investment dedicated to advocacy with major corporations on behalf of Jewish communal concerns. Anchor investors include Jewish Community Foundations, Federations, donor-advised funds, private foundations, and family offices. JLens also hosts the Jewish Impact Investing Summit, inspired by the Vatican's Impact Investing Summit, which brings together stewards of Jewish communal capital to learn together and advance Jewish leadership in the impact investing arena. JLens has represented Jewish communal capital at the Vatican three times, most recently at the Vatican's 2019 Summit on Religions and the SDGs.
